The Constellation Directory was created for the purpose of informing and educating anyone who is interested in the night sky and its constellations. It aims to provide an online source of reliable and useful data that is accessible to everyone.
All written content on the Constellation Directory is licensed under a Creative Commons Non-Commercial Share-Alike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license, meaning that anyone is free to copy and distribute the content non-commercially and without requesting permission, provided that attribution is given to the Constellation Directory wherever materials from the CD appear.
However, please note that images presented on this website are not necessarily CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. While all images are available through Creative Commons licenses or the public domain (all background images that appear on this site are public domain), each individual image has a separate license which should be checked before any image is used.
The CD was created by L.Z. Han, a student in the USA who has a deep fascination with space and space science. She started researching constellations out of an interest in learning more about the universe and the objects it contains, and she used the directory as a means of sharing the knowledge she gained with the world. L.Z. Han wrote, coded, and designed all material presented on this website, with the exception of images.
L.Z. Han is also the developer of the (currently under construction) Eagle Directory, a database that describes all known eagle species.
